Table Rock Lake draws anglers, boaters, and families from across the Midwest every summer. After a long day on the water, most visitors want the same thing: cold drinks, hearty food, and a place where they can relax without dressing up. That is exactly what The Local Bar & Grill in Golden, Missouri was built for.

A local spot with a lake-town vibe

Located at 29724 State Hwy J, The Local is less than ten minutes from the lake and easy to find whether you are coming from the Branson area or heading in from Arkansas. We keep things simple: good food, fair prices, and a crowd that mixes regulars, families, and out-of-towners.

Our dining room is family-friendly, the bar is well-stocked, and on select weekends you will catch karaoke or a live band. It is the kind of place where you can show up in flip-flops after a day on the boat and still get a great meal.

What to order after a day on the lake

• Chicken Wings — crispy jumbo wings tossed in Buffalo, BBQ, Garlic Parm, or Sweet Heat. The 10-piece basket is a great starter to share.
• The Reuben — stacked corned beef with sauerkraut, Swiss, and dressing on toasted rye. Filling without being fussy.
• Hand-tossed Pizza — our 12" pies are easy to split. The Local Supreme is the house favorite.
• Homemade Pie — flavors rotate. Grab a slice for dessert or order a whole pie to take back to the cabin.

Drinks, dessert, and late nights

The bar serves domestic and craft beer, well cocktails, and soft drinks with free refills. On Fridays and Saturdays we stay open until midnight, so you can linger after dinner. If you are heading back to a rental or campsite, call ahead for takeout and we will have it ready when you arrive.

Plan your visit

We are open daily at 11 AM. Monday through Thursday and Sunday we serve until 10 PM; Friday and Saturday we stay open until midnight. Large groups and whole pie orders are best handled with a quick call ahead.

Golden is one of the quieter stops, and The Local has become a gathering place for people who want real food without the tourist markup.
